Jackie Bateman spent her childhood in Kenya, her early adult years in the streets of London and the pubs of Edinburgh, and is now settled in beautiful Vancouver with her husband and two children. She lives near the North Shore Mountains with the bears, skunks and raccoons, a bit like a permanent writer's retreat.
