Toys, Dolls, Puppets
Elliot Moose jumped aboard his bright red fire truck. "Fire Chief Elliot to the rescue!" he yelled. He cranked up the siren, strapped on his helmet, and with a mighty push he rolled into the hall.
Today Elliot was a firefighter, and he felt courageous!
Chop, chop! Bits of the night flew everywhere. George tried to steer the rocket, but he had no hands. How could he steer the rocket without his big strong hands? He stepped on the brakes, but he had no shoes. How could he stop the rocket without his shiny red shoes? George looked down. His jumpsuit was gone. His body was gone. And so was his rocket. All he saw was a big dark planet. He was going to crash!
Daisy dumped the quilt on her bed and flopped on top. Life was so unfair. Her best friend, Amanda, had a huge bedroom with a closet bigger than Daisy's entire room. Daisy's parents had the biggest room in the house. She was trying to figure out how to convince them to trade rooms, when her mother appeared in the doorway. Her face was hidden behind an enormous box.
"This is a special box," Mom said.
"What's so special about it?" Daisy asked.
Mom opened the box with a flourish. "This box will make your room bigger."
He was supposed to say, "You're my Bitsiest bestiest friend," but every time he got to that 'bestiest' part, his mouth jammed open and his little pink tongue slipped out the side. He looked so human I couldn't believe it. It was like he was gagging on it or something.
