About the Author

Rachna Gilmore is the author of the 1999 Governor General’s Award–winning A Screaming Kind of Day, the acclaimed Gita picture books, and various novels for children. The Sower of Tales was the winner of the 2006 IODE Violet Downey Book Award, as well as a nominee for both the Manitoba Young Readers’ Choice Award and the Red Maple Award.
