The nine lessons in this module introduce students to concepts related to linear, rotational, reciprocating, and oscillating motion. Students investigate how machines can change the direction of motion, and also explore kinetic energy and friction. As well, students examine common devices that use or produce motion, and use this knowledge to design and construct their own moving toys.
