About the Author
Alex K. Paterson is co-chair, McGill Institute for the Study of Canada. He was chancellor of Bishop's University from 1995-2004 and chairman of the Board of McGill from 1990-1994. He is an officer of the Order of Canada and the Order of Quebec.
