Description

A journey through the best of Cape Breton's beauty and hospitality
The Cabot Trail is famed for spectacular views of mountains running down to the sea, of secluded forest glens and of surf rolling over deserted beaches. The area has attracted thousands of tourists every year because of its natural beauty and the hospitality of Cape Bretoners around the trail.
This guide to the Cabot Trail and to many of the other fine attractions of around Cape Breton Island has more than a hundred images by photographer Keith Vaughan. Author Susan Biagi shares her insider knowledge of Cape Breton's heritage and culture, with information and suggestions about the best attractions to visit. This edition has been updated to include new developments, including the arts centres in Mabou and Inverness, and new events, including the annual Celtic Colours festival.
Touring the Cabot Trail is illustrated with beautiful full-colour photographs by Keith Vaughan. It can be read as a guide in preparation for a tour of Cape Breton and enjoyed as a souvenir of one of Canada's treasured places.
